Optima FW Joins SofLens Product Line.
Optima FW contact lenses are soft, thin lenses, with nearly a 40% water content for optimum hydration for your eyes. These lenses have now become part of the SofLens product line and have been renamed SofLens 38. The lens offers the same quality and performance, with the only difference being the name.
These contacts are easy to handle with a visibility tint, which allows you to see the lens in solution without changing the color of your eye, and they feature an inversion indicator. An inversion indicator shows if the lens is inside out. The lens provides clear, crisp vision and deposit resistance to keep the lens comfortable over time. No additional prescription or fitting is necessary; the only thing changing is the name.
One thing that seems to be confusing is the exact wearing schedule of the lens. Prior to the packaging change, it was recommended the lenses be changed every three months, and they were referred to as a quarterly lens. Now, the new lenses are marketed as disposables, with anything from a one to two week or two to four week wearing schedule recommended. The manufacturer has not changed the thickness or fit of the lens. Talk to your eye doctor about the best wearing schedule for you.
Softlens are an established name brand lens featuring a new name but the same quality fit and vision correction you are accustom to receiving with FW's. The only difference is the recommended wearing period, which can be discussed with your eye doctor, who can personalize your prescription to best fit your needs.
